ZAGREB, Jan 26(Hina) - Croatian deputy PM Jadranka Kosor said after talks with a representative of the "Roda" association on Monday that apart from restoring maternity allowances to the 2000 level, the government would also consider a
possibility of canceling limitations regarding the amount of those allowances in the first six months.

talks with a representative of the "Roda" association on Monday that
apart from restoring maternity allowances to the 2000 level, the
government would also consider a possibility of canceling limitations
regarding the amount of those allowances in the first six months.#L#
Both Kosor and Roda representative Vedrana Miholic expressed
satisfaction with today's meeting.
The deputy PM also announced the government's plan to reinstate the
three-year maternity leave for mothers with three or more children,
which was approved by the Economic and Social Council and the
parliamentary Committee on Legislation. She said that maternity
allowances (depending on the state budget) would be restored to the
amount from 2000. This means that the maternity allowance would
increase from 1,600 to 2,500 for the second six-month period of the
maternity leave for working mothers, and from 900 to 1,600 for
unemployed mothers.
