ZAGREB, Jan 22(Hina) - Justice Minister Vesna Skare-Ozbolt refuted media allegations on Thursday that the Hague war crimes tribunal had issued a subpoena for Croatia but confirmed that Croatia had received a binding order to submit documents relating to indictee Pasko Ljubicic.#L# "There is no subpoena, nor can a state receive it, only an individual can," she told reporters at the government. Speaking to Hina earlier today, a source at the Justice Ministry confirmed that the Croatian embassy in the Netherlands had received a binding order to submit several hundred documents in the Ljubicic case. Minister Skare-Ozbolt said that was part of the regular communication. "There have been many such orders and they were acted on. The Defence Ministry will hand those documents over and there will be no problems regarding their issuance." She said the problem was of a technical nature and that the documents in question allegedly had not been filed at the Defence Ministry under the numbers lawyers had been looking for. Vecernji list said today the Hague tribunal was threatening Croatia with a subpoena over the Ljubicic case. (Hina) ha sb
