ZAGREB, Jan 21(Hina) - The consumer goods basket of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) shows that the minimum living costs of a four-member family in December 2003 increased by 58 kuna in relation to the
month before.
ZAGREB, Jan 21(Hina) - The consumer goods basket of the Federation of
Independent Trade Unions of Croatia (SSSH) shows that the minimum
living costs of a four-member family in December 2003 increased by 58
kuna in relation to the month before.#L#
The costs of food, housing, transport, hygiene, clothing, education
and culture rose to 5,295 kuna as against 5,237 kuna in November.
Food accounted for the largest share of the costs with 1,844 kuna.
Housing costs totalled 1,562 kuna, the costs of education and culture
amounted to 643 kuna, while the costs of clothing, transport and
hygiene totalled 549, 465 and 231 kuna respectively.
The average salary in November totalled 3,910 kuna, which covered
73.84 percent of living costs.
The consumer goods basket was the most expensive in Pula, amounting to
5,742 kuna. Pula is followed by Zagreb with 5,521 kuna, Rijeka with
5,277, Dubrovnik with 5,272, Osijek with 5,267 and Split with 5,195
kuna.
