Tax revenue accounted for KN 50 billion, an increase of 8.5% from the same period last year. The increase was seen as very important compared to 2004 when the annual tax revenue growth rate was 4.1%.
The share of tax revenue in overall revenue was 58.6%, or roughly the same as in 2004.
The second largest item in overall revenue was contributions, which saw a 6.2% increase and accounted for 37.4% of revenue.
The average monthly number of National Treasury transactions was 13,000, or about 160,000 annually.
