Cenic said that her ministry had carried out official checks in the Pension Insurance Fund and found that the Hague indictees were not on lists of recipients of budgetary funds.
"I do not know and cannot guarantee that somebody is not financing them from their own 'home budgets', but Republika Srpska is not setting aside any funds for them," Cenic said, adding that she sent this information in writing to the co-chairman of the Bosnia-Herzegovina Defence Reform Commission, Rafi Gregorian.
Nezavisne Novine daily reported on Tuesday that Gregorian sent a letter to Cenic last Thursday asking her to confirm that Republika Srpska was not financing, either directly or indirectly, Karadzic, Mladic or any of the Hague indictees at large.
According to the daily, Gregorian sent similar letters to other top Bosnian Serb officials.
