After meeting Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova, Molyviatis told reporters that the informal troika of SEECP member states, which is presided by Greece this year, supported the principles and views on Kosovo of the United Nations, the European Union and the Contact Group for Kosovo.
Rugova reiterated that Kosovo's goal was to become independent of Serbia and join the EU, and added that independence would also open a new window of opportunity for the minorities in Kosovo.
Molyviatis told Belgrade-based Beta news agency that it was natural for the Balkan countries to be interested in developments regarding Kosovo.
We want to hear views of Pristina and Belgrade, show our interest in developments regarding Kosovo and underline the need for constant consultations among the countries of the region on the future of Kosovo. This initiative will therefore continue, Molyviatis said.
The delegation is due to visit Belgrade on Wednesday to meet top Serbian officials.
