"By announcing the construction of the bridge over the Peljesac peninsula, Sanader is letting us know that he does not want negotiations on the port of Ploce," Oslobodjenje cited Terzic as saying.
The Bosnian prime minister said that Ploce was part of a "package" which apart from the Peljesac bridge also included a Croatia-Bosnia border agreement, whose ratification was temporarily postponed by a Croatian government decision on Monday.
Terzic said Bosnian authorities were also partially responsible for the current situation, stressing that the Bosnian Presidency in 2003 adopted a "disastrous" decision dismissing a protocol on the port of Ploce and passage through Neum that had already been
harmonised with the former Croatian government, led by Ivica Racan.
"Racan and I tried to draw up an agreement in 2003 which would enable Bosnia to manage the port of Ploce. Such an agreement would have been ratified by the Croatian parliament," Terzic said.
According to him, the Bosnian Presidency needs to try to solve this problem through the Bosnian-Croatian cooperation council.
