ZAGREB, Nov 10 (Hina) - The eastern Croatian city of Vukovar will next week organise commemorations in tribute to victims of the siege and fall of that town into the hands of the Yugoslav People's Army (JNA) and Serb rebels in the autumn of 1991.

The commemorations will start on 13 November. The main event will take place on 18 November, which the parliament recently declared Memorial Day in tribute to the Vukovar victims.

On 20 November, commemorative events will be held at the Ovcara farm outside the city in memory to about 200 patients who were killed there after they were taken from the Vukovar hospital on 19 and 20 November 1991. Tribute will be paid to former inmates of Serb-run concentration camps as well.

Between 10,000 and 15,000 people from all over the country are expected in Vukovar for the main ceremony on 18 November.

The city was returned under Croatia's rule during the peaceful reintegration of eastern Slavonia, which began late in 1995 and was finished by 1998.
