Of this amount, more than EUR50 million will come form the European Union, the Croatian Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Steering Committee, comprised of representatives of the 25 EU member states, has positively assessed a project on the development of the water supply and drainage system in the central Croatian town of Karlovac and a project of the reconstruction of the railway tracks between Vinkovci and Tovarnik.
The decision of Brussels on a third proposed investment project as part of the ISPA programme on waste management in the central Adriatic town of Sibenik, as well as another three projects on technical assistance, is expected in early 2006.
The total amount to be allocated for the ISPA project for Croatia for this and next year is EUR60 million, of which EUR25 million is for 2005 and EUR35 million is for 2006. The rest of the funds necessary for the implementation of the proposed projects is to be secured by Croatia.
