ZAGREB, Oct 24 (Hina) - The head of the Croatian crisis managementcommittee monitoring avian influenza, Mate Brstilo, said that an H5avian influenza virus was found on Monday in two swans at a fish farmoutside Nasice, some 200
kilometres east of Zagreb. The swans belongedto the same flock that had previously visited the Grudnjak fish farmat Zdenci, a village situated between Nasice and Orahovica. A swan suspected of being infected withbird flu has been spotted near the eastern Croatian village of PetrovoSelo, near the Croatian-Hungarian border, a senior inspector of theCroatian Culture Ministry's Environmental Protection Department,Zeljko Vukovic, told Hina on Monday.
