SARAJEVO, Oct 11 (Hina) - The House of Representatives of the Croat-Muslim entity on Tuesday endorsed an agreement on a police reform in Bosnia-Herzegovina after the parliament of the other entity, Republika Srpska, okayed the document last week.

The agreement has also been confirmed by the country's government, the Council of Ministers.

Addressing the parliament today, the Prime Minister of the Croat-Muslim Federation, Ahmet Hadzipasic, said that a day before the federal government also accepted an agreement assessing that it met requirements set by the European Commission, and that this document paved the way for the start of Sarajevo's negotiations with the European Union on a Stabilisation and Association Agreement.

The agreement stipulates the establishment of a professional and depoliticised police force with management at the state level.

The spokesman for the Office of the High Representative (OHR) to Bosnia said on Tuesday that the international community expected a speedy adoption of the agreement in the state parliament.

Mario Brkic added that it was clear that future police districts would definitely cross the current inter-entity boundary line wherever necessary.

The bicameral state parliament is expected to start the discussion on the matter on Friday.
