The BHT 1 TV station said it received the information from Bosnian intelligence services.
No news about the search for Jelavic were released today by any police agency or the State Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which yesterday issued a warrant for his arrest.
What is known is that about 150 members of Bosnia's Investigation and Protection Agency SIPA have been searching for the former Bosnian Croat leader since he failed to appear in court on Thursday, when he was sentenced to 10 years in jail for embezzling money which Croatia had sent as assistance to Bosnian Croats.
Jelavic also has Croatian citizenship.
