BELGRADE, Oct 7 (Hina) - The Prosecutor's Office for War Crimes in Belgrade on Friday indicted five members of the "Scorpions" paramilitary unit for war crimes against six captives from eastern Bosnia's Srebrenica in 1995.

Slobodan Medic, Pero Petrasevic, Aleksandar Medic, Aleksandar Vukov and Branislav Medic were charged with killing six Muslims in Godinjska Bara near Trnovo on 17 July 1995. Three victims have been identified, Safet Fejzic and Azmir Alispahic, both 17, and Sadik Saltic, 36.

Under the indictment, the six captives were transferred by truck from Trnovo to a burnt down house. Four were shot in the back, while the other two had to carry their bodies out of the house before being shot too.

The spokesman for the Prosecutor's Office, Bruno Vekaric, told Belgrade's Radio B92 that this case was specific because the victims were killed in a particularly cruel way, as could be seen in an amateur video of the crime recently shown at the war crimes tribunal in The Hague.

Vekaric said the Prosecutor's Office was cooperating with Bosnia and Herzegovina to identify the other three victims.

Two other Scorpions mentioned in the indictment, Milorad Momic and Slobodan Davidovic, will be tried separately given that Momic is on the run, while Davidovic is being tried in Croatia.
