Agreements signed on financial support to NGOs in east Croatia

OSIJEK, Aug 3 (Hina) - Representatives of five nongovernmentalorganisations in three eastern Croatian counties: Osijek-Baranja,Vukovar-Sirmium and Pozega-Slavonia, on Wednesday signed agreements onthe approval of supports within the programme called "CRO NGO", whichis being carried out by the Organisation for Civic Initiatives and theUS nongovernmental organisation "AED" with the financial support ofthe US Agency for International Development (US AID).
OSIJEK, Aug 3 (Hina) - Representatives of five nongovernmental organisations in three eastern Croatian counties: Osijek-Baranja, Vukovar-Sirmium and Pozega-Slavonia, on Wednesday signed agreements on the approval of supports within the programme called "CRO NGO", which is being carried out by the Organisation for Civic Initiatives and the US nongovernmental organisation "AED" with the financial support of the US Agency for International Development (US AID).

Financial supports coming up to 18,000 kuna will be used for the opening of an astronomical observatory in the city of Osijek, the modernisation of dairies in the villages of Kraguj and Dragovic and a project for the arrangement of the central park in Slakovci as well as for the development of tourism in Lipik. The funds total 70,000 kuna.

So far, over 220 projects have been financed with 12 million kuna within the CRO NGO project which has been carried out for two years.
