"Since 60,000 refugees live in Novi Sad, many of whom are from Croatia, it is our duty to remember the tragedy of 300,000 Serbs who were expelled from Croatia. Although the political climate in Croatia is better now, the process of restoration of the right to property restitution, reconstruction, minority rights, labour rights and other rights they were deprived of, is slow," the newspaper quoted the Democratic Party as saying in a statement.
The party believes that all Serbian authorities must do all in their power to ensure that the refugees are given back their civil and property-related rights as soon as possible.
Operation Storm, a lightning offensive undertaken by Croatian military and police forces on August 4, 1995, ended the Serb insurgency in central Croatia.
