Seks dismissed the Social Democratic Party's (SDP) claim that parliamentary rules were breached during the adoption of the 2005 budget revision, which the SDP said could be voted on only three days after it was discussed.
Seks said the revision was adopted as usual and that since 2000 all budgets and their revisions had been adopted the same day that amendments to them had been discussed, or the day after.
Commenting on announcements of constitutional complaints due to the amendment of the law on public assembly, which the opposition claims was changed without the required minimum number of votes, Seks said that those who thought so should feel free to lodge the complaints.
Responding to numerous complaints about how he is conducting parliamentary sessions, Seks told the press his work was subject to public criticism.
"I don't see what this is really about unless it's the opposition exerting its democratic right to launch an action against those in power."
Responding to independent MP Branimir Glavas, until recently a HDZ member, who said that the quorum in parliament was fixed even when he was in the ruling party, Seks suggested that Glavas should present his "belated recollections before another body".
