Under the revised 2005 budget, revenues were cut by 786 million kuna to 85.5 billion.
Expenditure remained approximately the same, revolving around 92 billion kuna, although more than one billion was reallocated.
In some areas 1.6 billion kuna will be saved, while in others 1.19 billion kuna more will be sent, with the final difference revolving around 15 million kuna.
Among the reallocated funds, an additional 470 million kuna will be spent on pensions and 346.4 million on salaries.
The government will support housing savings with an additional 70 million kuna, compensation for the jobless with 60 million, maternity leaves with 39 million and permanent war veterans' rights with 35 million.
The costs of acquisition of non-financial assets will be cut by 296 million kuna, material costs by 223 million, various benefits for citizens by 111 million, foreign assistance by 150 million, and subventions by 84.5 million.
The budgetary deficit rose from a planned 3.7 per cent of GDP to 4.2 per cent.
The act on the execution of the 2005 national budget was also adopted by majority vote.
Parliament resumed the session by debating the government's motion to ban public protests at least 100 m from buildings housing the government, parliament, the Constitutional Court and the President's Office.
This motion is part of a new bill of amendments to the law on public assembly. The government withdrew the original bill after numerous criticisms from the opposition, but also from some deputies from the ruling Croatian Democratic Union.
