Members of the task force and other members of the EU will find a solution, I am certain of it, Asselborn said after a meeting with his Croatian counterpart Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic. The action plan is being implemented but we must see the results, he said and added that politics requires patience.
The EU task force is expected to meet at the level of political directors in London next week. The task force is comprised of Luxembourg, Great Britain and Austria, as well as the EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn and EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana.
The meeting of the task force in charge of assessing Croatia's cooperation with the Hague based war crimes tribunal, was called as part of preparations for the next meeting of the EU foreign ministers to be held in Brussels on 18 July. The EU foreign ministers will discuss Croatia's progress in meeting conditions for the start of its EU entry talks.
