ZAGREB, June 9 (Hina) - The Luxembourg EU Presidency has still not made a definite decision on calling a new meeting of the EU task force in charge of assessing Croatia's cooperation with the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague, European diplomatic sources reported on Thursday.

"There is still no definite decision on calling a meeting of the task force," the same source told Hina adding that after the ongoing consultations with members of the task force, a decision would be made on the meeting.

The Luxembourg Presidency earlier this week forwarded ICTY Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte's report about Croatia's cooperation with the tribunal to all EU member states. Del Ponte sent a copy of her report to the Luxembourg Presidency on Tuesday evening. She will submit the report to the UN Security Council on June 13, together with a letter containing assessments similar to those in the report.

Austria's news agency APA on Thursday cited sources from the EU Council as saying that the Luxembourg Presidency would call a new session of the task force for Sunday.

Croatia was to have begun its EU entry talks on 17 March, but they were postponed because the EU member states could not agree that Zagreb entirely cooperated with the tribunal in The Hague. The EU then set up a five-member task force in charge of evaluating Croatia's cooperation with the tribunal.

At its first meeting in late April, the task force decided they would meet again in case Carla del Ponte changed her assessment at the time.

Del Ponte said in her latest report that Croatia was still not fully cooperating, but that progress had been made. She said that if Croatia continued to implement its action plan, cooperation could be full in several months. She added that she remained concerned that Gotovina had still not been located and transferred.
