The president of the Osijek County chamber of the economy, Zoran Kovacevic, said that trade was obstructed by the visa regime and poor transport connections. Over the past five years, the trade exchange slightly exceeded US$20 million while Croatia's overall trade exchange with Ukraine amounted to US$80 million. Croatia's imports from Ukraine in the said period amounted to over $67 million. In this year's first three months, the two countries' trade amounted to $21 million of which the majority ($18.5 million) was imports from Ukraine.
