Great Britain has chosen five priorities -- the continuation of EU enlargement, the EU's financial prospects, Europe's role in the world, the economic reform and social justice, and security and stability.
As regards Turkey, Great Britain intends to make sure that the EU keeps its commitments so that accession negotiations could start as planned on October 3.
The British presidency also intends to continue with the preparations for the admission of Bulgaria and Romania in 2007, and will continue negotiations with Croatia as soon as Croatia meets the set conditions.
