Kandic told a radio station on Thursday that the Fund for Humanitarian Law, at whose helm she is, had arrived at the conclusion that prosecutors and police in charge of protecting witnesses at war crimes trials mistreated those witnesses.
She also said that she had no evidence but had received information confirmed by several parties that the prosecutorial authorities received money for the release a war crimes suspects from custody.
The Serbian war crimes prosecutor's office said in a press release on Thursday that Kandic's statements were groundless, ill-intended and detrimental to the prosecutors.
