The Association of Veterans 1990-1996 says in its leaflets that the protest will be an expression of public discontent with "a futile policy of the Croatian government and state prosecutors towards values stemming from the Homeland War" as well as an expression of dissatisfaction with the general economic and social situation in the country.
According to some forecasts, the rally is likely to bring together between 1000 and 3000 demonstrators in Josip Jelacic Square, and the police have appealed to protesters to behave in a dignified manner.
War veterans are divided on the issue of tomorrow's rally with some of them voicing concern over divisions among war veterans.
Representatives of the 17 associations were received by Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Thursday. They said after the talks that solutions should be sought through the institutions of the system.
