Comparing to the data the Bureau released for the same period last year, the number of tourists who visited Croatia this year rose by 2.4 percent while the number of overnight stays this year rose by 2.6 percent.
There were 1.21 million foreign tourists in Croatia in the first five months who realised 4.17 million overnight stays. In relation to last year, the number of foreign tourists rose by 4.3 percent while the number of overnight stays realised by foreign tourists went up by 4.2 percent.
Comparing the data to the first five months of 2004, there was 0.2 percent less tourists from Croatia (482,400) this year0 and they realised 2.4 percent less overnight stays (only 1.22 million).
