The meeting, which took place in the Italian Ministry for Production Activities in Rome on June 13 and 14, analysed ongoing joint projects which were defined by the working group last year, the Croatian ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.
The wood, leather, metal and tourism industries were defined as sectors of common interest.
The Italian side proposed strengthening economic cooperation, particularly in infrastructure projects.
Gianfranco Caprioli, Director General of the Ministry for Production Activities, called for greater financial support from the Italian side in order to step up investment in Croatia, according to the press release.
The governments of Italy and Croatia signed the memorandum on cooperation on March 25, 2003 with a view to intensifying economic cooperation between the two countries.
