ZAGREB, May 4 (Hina) - Two men suspected of forging a passport for Ante Gotovina, the runaway general wanted by the Hague war crimes tribunal, will be questioned by a Zagreb County Court investigating judge next Thursday, court sources said on Wednesday.

The two men, Gotovina's attorney Marijan Pedisic and retired police officer Salih Fazlic, have been charged with inciting Franjo Katavic to forge the passport.

Pedisic has been charged with asking Fazlic to procure a forged passport for his client, for which Fazlic is alleged to have engaged Katavic, who had been known to the police for document forgery.

Apart from forging the passport, which he allegedly did himself, Katavic has also been charged with possession, with his brother Miroslav, of forgery equipment and keeping arms and explosive without permission.

The Katavic brothers are in custody and also under investigation.

Their case was separated from the one against Pedisic and Fazlic. The County Court is expected to examine eight witnesses next Thursday.

Unlike the Katavic brothers, Pedisic and Fazlic were released pending trial. No witnesses are expected to be examined in their case.

Pedisic had told Hina earlier that he had "absolutely nothing" to do with the alleged forged passport.

The Katavic brothers were questioned by an investigating judge last Friday and both denied being guilty.
