Their resignation was prompted by the HND's decision to present Silvija Luks with the Best Television Interview in 2004 Award.
"The award was presented to a journalist because of whom, that same year and for the first time in its history, our network had to apologise to its viewers for lack of professionalism," the journalists said in a statement.
The journalists stressed that the HND was increasingly behaving like a private, rather than a professional organisation.
HND vice-president Luko Brailo told Hina that the decision by the HTV reporters was rash and called on them to reconsider it.
Brailo said that the proposal to award Silvija Luks had been discussed by a seven-member jury, including four HTV journalists.
