On the last day of her official visit to Chile, Grabar-Kitarovic also met the Croatian honorary consuls general to Chile and the honorary consul to Bolivia and Peru.
The minister informed the representatives of the Croatian community about Croatia's determination to implement social reforms aimed at strengthening democracy and the economy as part of its efforts to eventually become a full member of the European Union.
On Sunday, Grabar-Kitarovic was scheduled to meet the Croatian community in Argentina and the honorary consuls to Rosario, Tucuman and Cordoba, the statement said.
During her visit to Chile, the Croatian minister attended a ministerial conference on communities of democracies.
The conference adopted a declaration the aim of which is to promote democracy, the rule of law, and human rights in international organisations and at national, regional and sub-regional levels.
