ZAGREB, April 29 (Hina) - Croatian Environment Minister Marina Matulovic Dropulic met her Bosnian counterpart, Ramiz Mehmedagic, in Zagreb on Friday to discuss issues of common interest, the Croatian ministry said in a statement.

Bosnia-Herzegovina intends to declare the Una river area a national park and since it is situated near the border with Croatia, it now asked Croatia for assistance in drawing up a regional plan.

The talks also focused on the use and improvement of the Klepovica waste disposal site in the Bosnian coastal municipality of Neum, which is also being used by Croatian municipalities, and on a regional waste water purification system in accordance with a bilateral agreement.

Also under discussion was cooperation on a project aimed to preserve the ecosystems of the Trebisnjica and Neretva river basins.
