ZAGREB, April 1 (Hina) - The Primate of the Catholic Church in
Croatia, Cardinal Josip Bozanic, called on the faithful in his archdiocese of
Zagreb and in the entire country, to pray for Pope John Paul II, the Croatian
Catholic agency IKA reported on Friday. After reports on the
Pontiff's deteriorated condition, Zagreb Archbishop Bozanic, who has been in
Poland since last Tuesday on a study tour, urged Catholics in Croatia to pray
for the pope.
Cardinal Bozanic and 40 young priests on Friday visited Wadowice, the
home-town of Karol Wojtyla. In that Polish town Cardinal Bozanic said mass this
morning calling on the present to pray for the pope, the public relations
office of the Zagreb Archbishop reported.
