ZAGREB, March 30 (Hina) - The Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS) on Wednesday called on the government and Prime Minister Ivo Sanader to submit a report to the public on what they were doing to revive the economy, reduce unemployment and help overcome the state of lethargy caused by the postponement of Croatia's EU entry talks on March 17.

Speaking at a news conference in the parliament, HSLS leaders Ivan Cehok and Djurdja Adlesic warned that the postponement of the talks had had a negative effect both on the government and the opposition.

They called on the government to start a dialogue with the public and state what it was doing to have the accession talks start before the summer, what effects a possible new postponement could have on foreign investments and Croatia's credit rating, what the government was doing to boost entrepreneurship and reduce unemployment etc.

Adlesic also called on the government to state what it was doing to prepare for the tourist season considering the fact that a 20-percent drop in tourist arrivals was registered on the Adriatic coast during the Easter holidays.

Cehok criticised the government for failing to put an end to the centralisation of authority.
