The event was also attended by officials from the French Embassy, the German Central Office for Education, the Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sport, and the Zagreb Office for Education and Sport.
"All countries that have entered the European Union have profited from it, and so will we," Mesic said, criticising Eurosceptics. "They want an isolated Croatia rather than a democratic system and equal rules for all."
Mesic praised the efforts by the students and teachers to enhance their communication with Europe through Open Class Days.
