The Croatian delegation was invited to the meeting by the European Commission member in charge of information society and media, Viviane Reding, the Council said in a statement on Monday.
The conclusions adopted at the meeting stress the commitment of the presidents of regulatory bodies to the principles of freedom, democracy and respect for human right, as well as their determination to intervene in the work of TV networks in cases of serious violations of the principles of democratic, plural and open society.
Along with regulators from EU member-countries, the meeting was attended by representatives of candidate-countries Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.
