French media promote Croatia as one of top tourist destinations

PARIS, March 19 (Hina) - Very good tourist results of Croatia on theFrench market can also be ascribed to coverage of Croatia by Frenchjournalists who released 2,474 press, radio and TV reports on Croatiafrom 2000 to 2005, the value of which is assessed at 58.3 millioneuros.
PARIS, March 19 (Hina) - Very good tourist results of Croatia on the French market can also be ascribed to coverage of Croatia by French journalists who released 2,474 press, radio and TV reports on Croatia from 2000 to 2005, the value of which is assessed at 58.3 million euros.

Of this amount, a half was published last year, namely 1,145 reports that were worth 17.6 million euros, the director of the Parish branch office of the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ), Marina Tomas Billet, said in Paris on Saturday at the ongoing SMT tourist fair.

Thus, the French media have contributed not only to the positive image of Croatia in France but also to the promotion of Croatia as a tourist destination which can offer all what demanding French guests expect from their trips abroad, Tomas Billet said.

A few French travel magazines, such as "L'ExpressMag", "Mediterrane", "L'Echo Touristique", also describe Croatia as one of top tourist destinations in their latest editions.

400 jumbo posters about Croatia will have been put on display in the Metro in the French capital by 22 March.
