"Justice Minister Vesna Skare Ozbolt has talked with Serbian Supreme Court president Vida Petrovic Skero and expressed her regret at the incident in which a Serbian Supreme Court judge was injured," the ministry said in a statement.
The Croatian police have reported that the van with Serbian judges and judicial officials was attacked by a group of some 15 unidentified boys at a bus stop around 10 pm on Sunday. Slivers from a car window that was smashed with a baseball bat in the attack caused light injuries to the 57-year-old judge Mirjana Grubic, who was given medical help at a Zagreb hospital.
Serbian Assistant Justice Minister Slavka Srdic Jankovic said today that the injured judge was feeling well and that the delegation would return to Serbia under police escort today. She said that the delegation attended an international round table debate and that it had nothing to do with yesterday's match between handball teams from Zagreb and Belgrade.
The Croatian Journalists' Association (HND) today most strongly condemned the attacks on the players and supporters of the Partizan Belgrade handball team and three reporters of a Serbian TV station, of whom one sustained serious injuries, while the other two were lightly injured.
HND president Dragutin Lucic said the HND would request a determined investigation and punishment for the perpetrators.
