BRUSSELS, Feb 22 (Hina) - Croatia is doing all that it can to resolve the only remaining case in cooperation with the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and in the next several weeks we will inform EU countries of what Croatia has been doing to resolve that issue, Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said in Brussels on Tuesday evening.

Sanader and the prime minister of the other EU candidate countries attended a meeting with the President of the European Council, Luxembourg Prime Minister Jean-Claude Juncker, who informed them of the results of the EU-US summit.

Before the meeting, Sanader held bilateral talks with Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi and Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel.

At the talks "I said that Croatia is doing everything to resolve that last case in cooperation with the Hague tribunal and that in the next several weeks we will submit a report on everything we have been doing so far as well as evidence showing where General (Ante) Gotovina is or where he isn't. I believe the talks are very important because they were held with the two prime ministers who have been in favour of Croatia and who continue to advocate that negotiations with Croatia start on 17 March," Sanader said.

According to him, there are different interpretations withing the EU of full cooperation with the Hague tribunal, which is a condition for the start of Croatia's EU entry talks.

"The key question is; Is Croatia doing everything to solve that case, There are various interpretations - one group of countries says that this means general Gotovina's transfer to The Hague, while the other group says that if this really cannot be done, Croatia must show that it is doing everything to resolve that issue," Sanader said.

"Now it is important to show that Croatia is not playing a double game, so the Croatian government is doing all this in good faith and we simply want to tell this to the EU members," the PM stressed.

Sanader said there was a certain level of cooperation between Croatia and foreign intelligence services in the search for fugitive general Gotovina. He, however, declined to speak in detail,
