According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, the registered unemployment rate in Croatia in January amounted to 19.3 percent.
Last December, the country's unemployment rate amounted to 18.7 percent, in November 18.4 percent, in October 18.1 percent, in September 17.6 percent and in August 17.2 percent.
At the end of January, 326,938 jobless people were registered at the Croatian Employment Bureau, which was 2.9 percent (9,361 people) more than the month before and 0.6 percent (1,973 people) more than in January 2004.
