Sabor Speaker extends condolences on death of Chinese miners

ZAGREB, Feb 15 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks onTuesday sent a letter of condolence to Wu Bangguo, the chairman of theStanding Committee of China's National People's Congress, on the deathof over 200 miners in an explosion in a coal mine in China'snorth-eastern province of Liaoning, the Office of the Sabor Speakerreported.
ZAGREB, Feb 15 (Hina) - Croatian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Seks on Tuesday sent a letter of condolence to Wu Bangguo, the chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress, on the death of over 200 miners in an explosion in a coal mine in China's north-eastern province of Liaoning, the Office of the Sabor Speaker reported.

The accident, caused by a methane explosion, happened on Monday afternoon in the mine in Fuxin, the province of Liaoning. This was the worst diaster in a mine in China in the last 14 years.

On his own behalf and on the behalf of the Croatian parliament, Seks extended sincere condolences to Chinese authorities and the families of the casualties.
