ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - Croatia's Supreme Court on Tuesday considered anappeal to its decision upholding a 20-year prison sentence for theformer leader of the self-styled Autonomous Province of WesternBosnia, Fikret Abdic, for war
crimes committed there from 1993 to1995.
ZAGREB, Feb 8 (Hina) - Croatia's Supreme Court on Tuesday considered
an appeal to its decision upholding a 20-year prison sentence for the former
leader of the self-styled Autonomous Province of Western Bosnia, Fikret Abdic,
for war crimes committed there from 1993 to 1995.The court said that its decision on the appeal would be made public at a
later date.
The Supreme Court opened a debate on the appeal earlier on Tuesday,
announcing that it would last two days, but said later on that the debate had
been concluded in one day.
Abdic was not present at today's session because the court decided that
it was not necessary.
