First returnee convoy sets out from Belgrade

BELGRADE, Jan 31 (Hina) - This year's first organised refugee convoy to return to Croatia set out from Belgrade on Monday evening.

The convoy was organised by the Danish Refugee Council, in cooperation with European Agency for Reconstruction and the UNHCR.

Even though some 120 people signed up for the return only 11 headed for Croatia on Monday. The organisers said that the reason for a large number of no-shows was bad weather.

Upon their return, the returnees will be given agricultural machines, tools and domestic animals.
