selected by Djuro Vidmarovic andtranslated into Croatian by Jelena Zavicnaja.
ZAGREB, Jan 26 (Hina) - A book entitled "55 Suvremenih Zidovskih
Pjesnika" ("55 Contemporary Jewish Poets" in an unofficial translation) was
promoted in Zagreb on Wednesday. The book is a collection of works by Jewish
poets, selected by Djuro Vidmarovic and translated into Croatian by Jelena
Zavicnaja.Croatian Foreign Ministry State Secretary Gordan Bakota, who attended
the event in Museum Mimara, said that Croatian-Israeli relations were
continuously improving and that Israel would soon establish its embassy in
Zagreb.
Bakota also spoke about cultural ties between the two countries, saying
they were very good.
On behalf of the publisher from Mostar, Zdravko Kordic presented the
Israeli Ambassador to Croatia, Yael Rubinstein, whose offices are in Vienna,
with a copy of the book.
