The Council of Europe Development Bank will finance the project with a loan worth 169.7 million kuna, while the Croatian government will provide the remaining 56.5 million kuna (plus VAT).
This is one of the few cases where the Development Bank is backing a project with funds amounting to more than 75 percent of the project's value, because it usually co-finances projects with 50 percent of the required funds, said Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic.
He said that the four-year project would include the reconstruction and revitalisation of a number of facilities in Ilok, the Eltz castle and baroque-style buildings in downtown Vukovar, and the archeological site of Vucedol.
The government today also passed a decree establishing the Vocational Training Agency.
It also agreed to host a regional workshop on international cooperation in the prevention of terrorism, corruption and organised crime, to take place in Zagreb on March 7-10.
