Kosor, who is due for a run-off with incumbent President Stjepan Mesic on January 16, thanked the associations for their confidence, saying it was the result of her activity and care as member of parliament, deputy prime minister and veterans' minister, as well as of the credibility of her positions.
Kosor voiced confidence in winning the presidential run-off. She said that regardless of the outcome, she would continue to work towards giving veterans and their families their dignity back.
Kosor said a president must state her opinions clearly, stand by war veterans and never forget that they had been part of a victorious army who deserved respect.
