Adlesic, who on Tuesday held a news conference in the city of Bjelovar whose mayor she is, said that her voters were intelligent people who knew who they should vote in the run-off and that she had no intention of telling them to vote either for the incumbent President Stjepan Mesic or his main rival, Jadranka Kosor of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
"If I had thought that other candidates were good, I would not have run in the first round," Adlesic said, adding that her position regarding the candidates running in the second election round was unchanged.
Voters are not sheep that need a shepherd to show them where to go, the HSLS vice-president said.
She reiterated that the election campaign for the first round had been conducted in a period which was unsuitable for political activity, namely during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
She said that although she was satisfied with her results (2.68 percent of votes), she was not satisfied with the turnout of some 51 percent.
