Petar Ladjevic met the Croatian community in Zemun on Friday, saying Croatia-Serbia relations were constantly improving, Radio Subotica reported in its Croatian language programme. He highlighted cooperation in the implementation of a bilateral agreement on the protection of national minorities.
Ladjevic said the position of Serbs in Croatia was better than it had been, but that it could not be compared with the position of Croats in Serbia because these were two different issues.
The president of the Zemun Community of Croats, Stipe Ercegovic, said the establishment of this community demonstrated that Croats in Zemun were in a better position than before when they were exposed to pressure and threats.
Zemun has a population of 190,000, including 2,400 Croats.
