Nebojsa Radmanovic (a Serb), Zeljko Komsic (a Croat) and Haris Silajdzic (a Bosniak) took over from their predecessors Borislav Paravac, Ivo Miro Jovic and Sulejman Tihic at a ceremony attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and the country's political and public figures.
Milorad Dodik, president of the Bosnian Serb Party of Independent Social Democrats and prime minister of Republika Srpska, and Dragan Cavic, leader of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ BiH), did not attend.
Among those present also were the head of the Islamic community in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mustafa Ceric, and Bosnian Serb Orthodox Bishop Nikolaj. However, the Archbishop of Sarajevo, Cardinal Vinko Puljic, did not show up, nor did any other Roman Catholic bishop.
After taking an oath, the new Presidency members announced in their brief speeches that they would work for the benefit of all citizens and for the prosperity of the country on its path to Euro-Atlantic integration.
According to the existing eight-month rotating system, Radmanovic will also serve as Presidency chairman.
