Along with the coordinated activity of relevant state institutions and the previously reached consensus among political parties on Croatia's strategic goals, the establishment of the Committee reaffirms Croatia's determination to accomplish full membership of the European Union and NATO.
The Committee is led by the heads of the state, the parliament and the government, and its members are parliament vice-presidents, the heads of parliamentary committees and parliamentary delegations in international bodies, the heads of the offices of the Parliament Speaker and the Prime Minister, ministers, the country's ambassador to NATO, the national coordinator for NATO, the Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, the heads of the Office of the Council for National Security and the Office of the President, presidential advisors on the political system, national security, and defence, the head of the Information Department of the Office of the President and the government spokesman.
