Detention for Kobak and Robic terminated

ZAGREB, Feb 7 (Hina) - The Zagreb County Court has decided to release former Croatian Railways (HZ) Holding managing board chairman, Dragutin Kobak, and the Agit company's former director, Biserka Robic, who have been kept in investigative custody in the Remetinec prison since July 2009 due to their alleged involvement in syphoning EUR 3.7 million from the HZ company.

Kobak's lawyer Ivan Lovric told Hina today that the court decided on the release of his client last Friday.

Kobak and Robic were released from custody because they can no longer repeat the same crime and are no longer considered flight risks. Their passports have been temporarily confiscated.

Apart from Kobak and Robic, Andrija Saric, Robic's associate in Agit and Vladimir Vasiljevic, a former Serbian Railways CEO, are defendants in this case.

Only Saric pleaded guilty at the start of the trial in Zagreb. He and Vasiljevic have not been kept in detention.
