OSIJEK, Oct 27 (Hina) - A panel of County Court judges in the
eastern city of Osijek decided on Friday that the Osijek County Court had
jurisdiction over the trial of independent member of Parliament Branimir
Glavas, who is suspected of involvement in war crimes against civilians in the
early 1990s. The judges upheld the appeal by the Osijek County
Prosecutor's Office and annulled the decision by investigating judge Mario
Kovac, who had previously ruled that the Osijek court did not have territorial
jurisdiction over the case.
The case was referred back to the Osijek County Court for further
procedure, court spokesman Miroslav Rozac told reporters.
