Croatian Economy Ministry state secretary Vladimir Vrankovic said the session focused on the promotion of cooperation and investments and on making better use of the two countries' economic, trade and industrial capacity.
Vrankovic said that the committee was expected to sign a final document later this afternoon.
The Czech side is particularly interested in cooperation in the power industry and transport routes for exports. Croatia can offer a lot in the sense of infrastructure, Vrankovic said, citing as examples the ports of Rijeka and Split and the rail and road infrastructure.
Czech business people are also interested in cooperation with Croatian manufacturers in third markets.
In the first eight months of this year, trade between the two countries amounted to USD394.7 million.
Croatian exports to the Czech Republic amounted to USD75.7 million, a 60.8 percent increase in relation to the same period last year, while imports from the Czech Republic amounted to USD319 million, an increase of 17 percent.
